Organizations can be admitted as members that fulfill the following requirements:

a) legal form as public institution, Charity and similar that do not use the trade mark 'TANDEM' in their publicity to sell language courses. The Committee of the Foundation can admit other forms for countries where these legal forms do not exist;

b) exist the sufficient guarantees of stability of the organization;

c) a pedagogical line that includes the extension or substitution of the traditional role of the teaching staff by the tandem method and communicative teaching, an intercultural approach and the presence of different cultures between the personnel.

27= Licenses

Licenses that comprise the use of the texts of the original patrimony and the trade mark TANDEM can be granted to organizations dedicated to the teaching of languages and to the intercultural contact in general that have justified interest on the application of the tandem method.

The members will have the right

a) to participate in the general assemblies with voice and vote and to choose, to control and to dismiss all the organs of the Foundation;

b) to present themselves to election for all the organs of the Foundation;

c) to use the denomination 'Recognized in use of the TANDEM method' with the logo of the Foundation

d) to use the material protected by the Registry of Intellectual Property of Madrid nr. 128.568 and all the material for tandem activities created by members of the Foundation Council;

e) to make individual 'tandem' intermediation and courses combined with her;

f) to participate in all the projects of the Foundation;

g) to publish its experiences unless other dispositions of these by-laws oppose that;

h) to receive training of the Foundation in conditions more favorable than the public in general;

i) that all his employees participate in language courses of 'Tandem International' in conditions more favorable than the public in general.

31= Rights of the licensees

The licensees will have the right:

a) to ask about the management of the Committee and to attend with voice without vote the Assemblies of the Foundation Council

b) to apply for being ' member' when they fulfill the requirements

c) to use the denomination 'Registered in use of TANDEM method'

and also the rights mentioned in 31 d), e), f), g), h), i).

Additional rights can be defined by contract.

The members have to

a) put the sentence 'Recognized in use of the TANDEM method' with the logo of the Foundation and the address 'www.tandemcity.info' in all its publicity referred to the tandem method;

b) avoid activities ' tandem' according to article 7 after withdrawal of the Foundation Council;

c) inform the department of the Foundation responsible for the trade mark protection about violations of the registered trade mark in their sphere of influence;

d) pay the contributions;

e) respect the maximum top that to receive by a tandem intermediation fixed annually by the Foundation Council;

f) gratuitously send a unit of each publication referring to the tandem methodology and of its leaflets to the Foundation;

g) expose permanently a poster on the tandem method delivered by the Foundation, with indication of the responsible for tandem intermediations of the organization and its schedule;

h) communicate name and electronic direction of its person in charge of intermediation to the Foundation;

i) send an annual circulate on its situation and activities to all the members of the Foundation Council;

j) participate in the Assemblies of the Foundation Council and to organize them;

k) as protection against plagiarisms, add the symbol ® or Ó behind ' TANDEM' or insert a footnote in academic texts;

l) expose the publicity of the other members and licensees in its seat and to mention the Foundation in its publications referred to 'tandem' as interlocutor for organizations interested in becoming a member of the Foundation Council or licensee;

m) before initiating activities in a town where there is another member or licensee, inform it;

^{n) communicate to the Foundation organizations that can be potential members or licensees;}

^{o) not try to register the trade mark 'TANDEM' single or combined for the own organization;}

^{p) not have participation in companies that infringe these duties;}

^{q) train the responsible for tandem intermediations by the presence or distance course of the Foundation;}

^{r) update the training at least every 5 years by the presence or distance course of the Foundation;}

^{s) apply the quality criteria for the tandem intermediation that develops the Foundation.}

^{32= Duties of the licensees}

The licensees will have to

a) put the sentence 'registered in use of TANDEM method' and the direction ' www.tandemcity.info' or 'www.tandemcity.com' in all its publicity referred to the tandem method;

b) avoid 'tandem' activities according to article 7 after the withdrawal from Foundation Council;

c) inform the department of the Foundation responsible for the trade mark protection about violations of the registered trade mark in their sphere of influence;

d) pay the contributions;

e) respect the maximum top to receive by a tandem intermediation fixed annually by the Foundation Council;

f) send a copy of each publication referring to the tandem methodology and of its leaflets gratuitously to the Foundation;

^{g) expose permanently a poster on the tandem method delivered by the Foundation;}

^{h) communicate name and electronic direction of its person in charge of tandem intermediation to the Foundation;}

^{i) send annually the statistical data on the use of the tandem method that requires the Foundation;}

^{k) expose the publicity of the other members and licensees in its headquarters and mention the Foundation in its publications referred to 'tandem' as interlocutor for organizations interested in becoming a member of the Foundation Council or licensee;}

^{l) before initiating activities in a town where there is another member or licensee, inform it;}

^{m) not try to register the trade mark 'TANDEM' single or combined for the own organization;}

^{n) not have participation in companies that infringe these duties.}
